Caitlan Coleman
Former Haqqani Network Hostage; Intern with 麻豆果冻传媒 Future Security Program
Caitlan Coleman was captured in 2012 by the Haqqani Network in Afghanistan and held hostage for five years with her former husband, giving birth to three of her children during that time. Coleman has since returned to the United States and is currently raising her children in Northern Virginia and working on studies in psychology specializing in extremism and terrorist mindsets, as well as trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, and recovery. Coleman has been an advocate for hostage issues and worked with various government agencies and NGOs throughout the years to further issues for hostages, wrongful detainees, and their families
