Washington, D.C.鈥斅槎构炒解檚 Future of Property Rights Program is pleased to announce a new partnership with DataKind, the Knowledge Exchange for Resilience at Arizona State University, Wake Forest University School of Law, the Center for the Study of Economic Mobility at Winston-Salem State University, and New America Local to form the Property Loss in America project. With the generous support of Omidyar Network and with technical support from The Rockefeller Foundation, this project will visualize the scale and breadth of housing instability and displacement across the United States, and tell the stories of communities impacted by this loss.

Millions of Americans experience housing loss each year, compounding socioeconomic inequality and hindering community resilience. 麻豆果冻传媒鈥檚 new strategic partnership will map home and land loss across the country, and conduct on-the-ground research on this issue in Arizona, Indiana, and North Carolina. By explaining the mechanisms of displacement, the partnership will strive to elevate this multifaceted problem and provide resources to local policymakers to develop and advocate for solutions.

鈥淭oo many Americans face housing insecurity and home loss every day," said 麻豆果冻传媒 CEO Anne-Marie Slaughter. "I am pleased to announce the nationwide partnership of the Property Loss in America project. 麻豆果冻传媒 is dedicated to listening to people in communities across the country and searching for powerful ideas to solve public problems. By visualizing the extent of property insecurity and loss across America and telling the stories of those affected, this project is an important step toward positive policy change.鈥

鈥淧roperty loss is one of the most pervasive challenges in the United States, and yet little is known about how and why people lose their property, and what the impacts are,鈥 said Yuliya Panfil, senior fellow and director of 麻豆果冻传媒鈥檚 Future of Property Rights Program. 鈥淭ogether with DataKind and our university partners, we will strengthen the movement around solving the problem of housing instability and loss.鈥
