麻豆果冻传媒 Announces Leadership Transition

April 22, 2026 鈥 麻豆果冻传媒 announced today that Anne-Marie Slaughter will step down as CEO of the organization, after more than a decade in the role. She will become Dean of the School of Public Policy at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), effective February 2027. Slaughter will remain in her current position at 麻豆果冻传媒 through June 30, 2026.聽

Paul Butler, 麻豆果冻传媒鈥檚 President and Chief Transformation Officer, will serve as Interim CEO, effective July 1, 2026.聽

Slaughter will transition to a new role at 麻豆果冻传媒 as a Senior Advisor, in which she will continue to provide strategic insight and policy counsel to the organization through the end of 2026. 麻豆果冻传媒鈥檚 Board of Directors will oversee the transition process, and Monica C. Lozano, Vice Chair of the Board, will manage the search process for 麻豆果冻传媒鈥檚 permanent CEO.聽

Since 2013, Slaughter has served as 麻豆果冻传媒鈥檚 CEO, following her tenure on 麻豆果冻传媒鈥檚 Board of Directors. She is a globally recognized scholar, policy innovator, and public leader whose career spans academia, government, and civil society. She previously served as the Director of Policy Planning for the U.S. State Department, the first woman to hold the position, Dean of the School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University, and a professor at Harvard Law School, where she helped define the emerging field of international law and international relations.聽

Slaughter has written and lectured widely on foreign policy, gender equality and caregiving, and American renewal and democratic reform. She is the author or editor of nine books, including (Princeton University Press, 2021), (Random House, 2015), (Yale University Press, 2017), and (Basic Books, 2007). Unfinished Business was named a best book of the year by The Washington Post, NPR, and The Economist and was a finalist for The Financial Times Best Business Book of the Year. Her 2012 article 鈥鈥 in The Atlantic became the most-read piece in the magazine鈥檚 history at the time and sparked a global conversation about gender, work, and caregiving. Slaughter is a contributing editor to The Financial Times and a regular columnist for Project Syndicate.

Slaughter鈥檚 leadership has been recognized around the world. She is a recipient of France鈥檚 Legion of Honor, the Berlin Prize, and Harvard Law School鈥檚 Award for Global Leadership, among many other distinctions, and has been regularly named one of Washington鈥檚 most powerful women by The Washingtonian. She has received over a dozen honorary degrees and fellowships from leading institutions in the United States and abroad, and her scholarship and commentary have been cited as groundbreaking in understanding the networked nature of global power.

Slaughter received a BA from Princeton, an MPhil and DPhil in international relations from Oxford University, and a JD from Harvard Law School.
