A retired Colonel in the U.S. Army, Ken Geiman is a professor at Arizona State University, where his research focuses on irregular warfare, resistance, resilience, and strategic competition. He directs multidisciplinary research supporting U.S. national security and defense organizations, with particular expertise in the Indo-Pacific and the role of civil resistance in comprehensive defense. He is the Editor-in Chief of Small Wars Journal, where he helps connect scholars and practitioners on issues of conflict, security, and military strategy. He is the co-author of Winning Without Fighting: Irregular Warfare and Strategic Competition in the 21st Century (Cambria, 2024).
