Yesterday, the House Energy & Commerce Committee approved the Save the Internet Act (H.R. 1644), a bill that would restore the 2015 net neutrality rules. 麻豆果冻传媒's Open Technology Institute (OTI) endorsed this legislation alongside of public interest groups, consumer advocates, and grassroots activists.

The following statement can be attributed to Joshua Stager, senior counsel for 麻豆果冻传媒鈥檚 Open Technology Institute:

鈥淲e applaud the committee for approving this important legislation, and urge the full House to quickly pass the bill. Time is of the essence. When Verizon throttled firefighters last year during California鈥檚 deadly wildfires, the FCC couldn鈥檛 do anything due to the net neutrality repeal. We need the FCC back as the cop on the beat before the next wildfire season starts.鈥
