From the Killing Fields of Cambodia to the galleries of New York鈥檚 Metropolitan Museum of Art, 听The Man Who Stole the Gods is a tale of stolen treasures and the battle to reclaim a nation鈥檚 soul.

Amidst the chaos of Cambodia鈥檚 brutal genocide, priceless treasures of the ancient Khmer Empire vanished from sacred temples, looted by smugglers and trafficked into the hands of elite collectors. At the center of it all was Douglas Latchford, later known as 鈥淒ynamite Doug,鈥 who orchestrated one of history鈥檚 most audacious cultural heists while presenting himself as an expert on Khmer art.

In听The Man Who Stole the Gods, Matthew Campbell unravels the story of Latchford鈥檚 criminal enterprise and a global conspiracy of greed and collusion involving some of the world鈥檚 most powerful museums and collectors.

Copies of听The Man Who Stole the Gods听are available for听. Books will be on sale at the event.

Lunch will be provided for in-person attendees.
