After two and a half exciting years, I’ve decided to step away from editing Higher Ed Watch and running the day-to-day operations of the Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ Foundation’s Education Policy Program. I’m going to become a Fellow at Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ so I can focus on my own research and writing full time.

MaryEllen McGuire, my long time colleague and friend and currently Senator Christopher J. Dodd’s chief education advisor, will take over as the Education Policy Program Director this September. It’s a hiring coup for Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½. Sara Mead will run the program until MaryEllen begins.

As a Fellow at Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½, I plan to continue working on higher education, K-12, and education budget issues. I’ll continue to offer advice and counsel to those seeking new ideas or perspective on education matters. You can still reach me at [email protected]. I don’t expect Higher Ed Watch to miss a beat.
